Apple has officially announced a virtual event scheduled for May 7, titled “Let Loose,” sparking excitement about potential new product launches. For weeks, rumors have been going around that Apple is going to release a new OLED iPad Pro and an updated iPad Air this spring. However, Apple hasn’t confirmed this until now.

The event invitation has a picture of a hand holding an Apple Pencil, which highly suggests that something new is going to happen with the iPad since the Apple Pencil only works with that device. The event is supposed to unveil these anticipated devices and possibly more.

As usual for Apple events, the event will be streamed on the Apple website, the Apple TV app, and YouTube, so people all over the world will be able to watch it.

The next event from Apple is set for May 7. It will be a virtual show, like the “Scary Fast” event that happened last October. The event, called “Let Loose,” will only be available online. Apple has made it clear that viewers can watch on digital media only, as there have been no invitations for a real-life event.

When you refresh the Apple.com site, you see a different version of the event’s invitation art. This suggests that creative and dynamic elements are at play. The main picture on the invite shows an Apple Pencil drawing a bright Apple logo, which is a strong hint that a new Apple Pencil will be released soon. It has been rumored that this updated accessory will have “Find My” tracking and magnetically replaceable tips that look like different art tools, making it a better tool for writing and drawing.

Anticipated launch of the OLED iPad Pro and updated iPad Air models

Apple’s upcoming iPad launch event in May is likely to showcase a new line of iPad Pro and iPad Air models with cutting-edge M3 chips. There are rumors that these new iPads will be the thinnest and largest ones yet. They will come in two screen sizes, 11-inch and 12.9-inch, and the iPad Pro models will use OLED technology for the first time.

The Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) on June 10 will be mostly about software updates and Apple’s new AI strategy. The event in May, on the other hand, will be mostly about hardware, with the OLED iPad Pro getting most of the attention.

Mark Gurman of Bloomberg said that Apple plans to release these updated models in the second week of May. Both the iPad Pro and iPad Air are likely to get big improvements.

It’s not just iPads that Apple is about to update. The Magic Keyboard and Apple Pencil are also about to undergo changes. The last time the Apple Pencil was updated was in November. It added USB-C support, but it was meant to be a more affordable choice without advanced features like pressure sensitivity or wireless pairing.

The upcoming event could also reveal a new generation of the Apple Pencil. It is said to have a new “squeeze” gesture for quick jobs that will make the double-tap tool-switching feature even better. The exact price of the new OLED iPad Pro is still unknown, but it is expected to be a lot more expensive than the old one.

In short

With the release of the OLED iPad Pro and an updated iPad Air, Apple is expected to showcase the newest additions to their iPad line at a virtual event on May 7. At the event called “Let Loose” a new Apple Pencil with more advanced features is expected to be displayed. This event, which will be streamed around the world, is expected to unveil exciting new gear after Apple recently updated its device accessories. There is a lot of talk about the improvements in technology and style, especially since the new iPads are expected to have OLED screens and M3 chips.
