XPS is dedicated to protecting your privacy. For details on the information we collect, how we secure your information, and our practices regarding sharing information, please carefully read the privacy policy outlined below. This document is crucial as it dictates your interaction with our site and all services provided through it.

This policy describes the treatment of personal information gathered by XPS, including details related to your previous interactions with our products and services. Personal information is data that identifies you personally, such as your name, address, email address, or phone number, and that isn’t publicly accessible.

Notice to EU Individuals: This privacy statement and the policies listed are designed to align with the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 (the “General Data Protection Regulation” or “GDPR”). They aim to ensure proper protection and handling of your user information in compliance with the GDPR.

Information collection and use

XPS collects personal information when you register on XPS, utilize the services and features offered on the site, visit site pages or those of certain partners, and participate in promotions or sweepstakes. We may also merge information about you that we have with details we acquire from business partners or other entities.

We use this information for several key purposes: to tailor the advertising and content you encounter, fulfill your requests for products and services, enhance our services, communicate with you, conduct research, and provide anonymized reporting for both internal and external clients. Upon registration, we may request details such as your name, email address, birth date, gender, postal code, and company demographics where you are employed. Registering and signing in to our services means you are identifiable to us.

XPS gathers data about your transactions with us and some of our business partners, including information on your use of products and services we provide. XPS automatically receives and records information on our server logs from your browser, such as your IP address, XPS cookie information, and the pages you visit.

Information sharing & disclosure

XPS does not rent, sell, or share personal information about you with other individuals or nonaffiliated companies except to deliver products or services you’ve requested, with your consent, or under the following conditions:

  • We provide information to reliable partners who work on behalf of or with XPS under confidentiality agreements. These entities may utilize your personal information to assist XPS in communicating with you about offers from us and our marketing partners. However, these companies do not have any independent right to share this information.
  • We may share aggregated, non-personal information with third parties. This data reflects how our users engage with the site and services, such as demographic patterns or user numbers in specific locations. This aggregate data is derived from individual user information but does not identify any user specifically.
  • XPS may disclose personal information to third parties if necessary to comply with legal processes like subpoenas or court orders, to enforce our legal rights, defend against legal claims, or in instances of investigating illegal activities, suspected fraud, potential threats to any individual’s physical safety, violations of XPS’s terms of service, or as otherwise mandated by law.

In the event that XPS is acquired by, merged with, or into another company, we will issue a public notice before your personal information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

Should any third party outside our agent/service provider network collect your personal information, we will inform you beforehand, enabling you to make an informed decision about sharing your data with that entity.

Use of personal information with tell-a-friend features

If you decide to use our referral service to inform a friend about our site, we’ll request your friend’s name and email address. We will then send a one-time email to your friend, inviting them to visit the site. XPS does not retain this information; it’s solely utilized to send this single email and to monitor the effectiveness of our referral program.

Use of personal information with marketing partners and co-registration

When XPS and our marketing partners offer special values (e.g., free offerings) to our users, we may share your personal information with these partners. By opting in to receive these promotional items, you expressly consent to XPS sharing your personal information (“co-registration”) with such partners, and you will then be governed by their privacy policies, which may differ from XPS’s. If you wish to opt-out of receiving offers from these partners, you must do so directly through them. Should you encounter any issues in contacting one of our partners, reach out to us, and we will assist you in resolving the matter.

Furthermore, by participating, you are consenting to XPS’s use of certain personally identifiable user data, which may be processed and shared with applicable third-party social network and/or identity providers. Your accounts with such third-party providers will be governed by their current terms of use and privacy policies (“Third Party Policies”), and XPS is not liable for any breaches of these policies. You are permitting XPS to use and store certain of this user data for our own business purposes.

Newsletters and alerts

If you choose to subscribe to our newsletters or alert system, we’ll use your name and email address to send the information directly to you. We respect your privacy deeply, so we ensure there’s an easy way for you to unsubscribe. If at any point you decide you no longer wish to receive our newsletters, alerts, or promotional messages, you can opt out by following the unsubscribe instructions provided in every communication or by getting in touch with us. Additionally, we provide the option to opt out of specific communications through the Edit Profile page, allowing you to customize your communication preferences with us.

Use of personal information posted on forums

When you participate in a forum on our website, please be mindful that any personally identifiable information you share can be read, collected, or used by other forum users, and might lead to you receiving unsolicited messages. We do not bear responsibility for the personally identifiable information you decide to post within these forums.

Cookies

Like many websites, XPS utilizes cookies. These are small text files transferred to your computer’s hard drive for later use. With cookies, our systems recognize you when you use your web browser to connect to XPS, allowing us to present customized web pages and options. For instance, instead of a generic welcome page, you might see a personalized welcome page with your username and information tailored to your interests.

You have the option to configure your browser to reject cookies or to notify you when a cookie is being sent. However, cookies are essential for taking full advantage of XPS’s features and are required for the site’s functionality. We encourage keeping cookies enabled.

XPS may also permit third parties that display advertisements on our site or engage in co-registration to set and access their cookies on your computer. The use of these third-party cookies is governed by their own privacy policies, not XPS’s, but they cannot access cookies used by XPS.

Cookies are categorized as follows:

  • Essential cookies : Vital for secure navigation and use of the site, these cookies enable core site functions. They collect information like server preferences, session data, and other necessary details. For EU individuals, these cookies also manage GDPR consent requirements.
  • Preference cookies : These cookies store information about your preferences and choices on the site, optimizing your browsing experience. This includes settings like language preferences and social media cookie settings if you access the site through a social media platform.
  • Advertising cookies : XPS and its advertising partners use these cookies to personalize content and ads you see, making them more relevant to your interests. They also help monitor the performance of advertising content. XPS ensures that user information is only shared with advertising partners in compliance with legal requirements.

You can manage your cookie preferences or learn more about cookies, including how to decline or opt-out from them, through the GDPR consent notification on your first site visit.

Disabling cookies may impact your ability to use or benefit from certain site features, especially those designed to personalize your experience. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies but can be set to prompt you before accepting a cookie, accept cookies only from specific websites, or refuse all cookies.

In addition to cookies, XPS uses web beacons (or single pixel gifs) to count visitors to certain pages, assess content popularity and effectiveness, and in connection with XPS products and services. These beacons may also be used in emails to determine whether and when an email was opened.

The information stored in cookies may be linked to any personally identifiable information you provide on our site.

Third-party ad serving

While many of the advertisements you see on our network of websites are sent directly from XPS, we also permit third-party ad servers or ad networks to display ads on our web pages. When your web browser fetches these advertising banners from the ad network’s website, these companies can send their own cookies to your browser, just as if you were visiting their site directly. It’s important to note that when an advertiser targets an ad to a specific audience or segment and you engage with that ad, the advertiser or ad server might infer that you match the targeted audience profile. However, we ensure that our third-party ad servers only use anonymous cookies for ad delivery and targeting. They do not collect, nor are they given access to, any personally identifying information about you.

XPS also collaborates with third-party ad servers to display ads across the internet on our behalf. These entities may gather anonymous information about your visits to XPS and your interactions with our products and services. Additionally, they might use data about your visits to this and other websites to tailor advertisements for goods and services. This anonymous information is typically collected using a web beacon or pixel tag, which is standard technology employed by most major websites.

Opting out of third-party ad servers

To stop third-party ad servers from sending and reading cookies on your computer, it’s necessary to visit each ad network’s website individually and opt out from their services.

Editing and/or deleting account information and preferences

You have the ability to modify the information in your account at any moment by selecting “My Account” after logging into XPS. To delete your XPS account, navigate to the “Account Settings” page within your account profile. Your account will be deactivated immediately upon deletion. However, it’s important to note that information you’ve provided during your time as a registered user may remain in backup storage on our servers indefinitely. Despite this, once your account is deleted, such information will no longer be accessible to the public.

Confidentiality and security

XPS restricts access to your personal information to employees who reasonably need this information to deliver products or services to you or to perform their duties. Moreover, XPS upholds physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards in line with federal regulations to protect your personal information.

While XPS is committed to safeguarding your privacy and employs reasonable and customary measures to protect it, we cannot assure absolute security against unauthorized use of your personal information.

Upon registering for the site and creating a User Account, you will receive a username and password. It is your responsibility to maintain the confidentiality of your password and to manage all activities conducted through your User Account. You are advised to log out of your User Account at the end of each session. Should there be any unauthorized use of your password or User Account, you must promptly inform XPS by sending an email to our support team. Please be aware that XPS is not liable for any loss or damage resulting from your failure to adhere to these security measures.

Third-party websites

Occasionally, XPS may offer access to services provided by third parties or include links to websites operated and controlled by third parties. These third-party services and websites do not fall under the jurisdiction of this Privacy Policy. We encourage users who decide to explore these third-party sites to thoroughly review their respective privacy policies.

Access to personal information

Should you wish to review the personal information we have collected about you at any point, simply reach out to us. Please send an email to XPS from the email account associated with your user account, and we will furnish you with a summary of your personal information. Additionally, we will provide you with the opportunity to correct and update this information as needed.

Changes to this privacy policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Significant changes will be communicated to you by sending a notice to the primary email address registered in your XPS account or by displaying a conspicuous notice on our website.

Should there be any alterations to our privacy practices, we will announce these changes through this privacy statement, our homepage, and other suitable channels to ensure you are informed about the data we collect, its usage, and the conditions under which we may disclose it. We hold the right to amend this privacy statement at any time, encouraging you to review it regularly for any updates.
